Listening to: Alt J

I’m pretty late to the Alt J party, but Ben has been listening to them a lot and it feels like every time he plays something I like and I ask what it is, it’s these guys. Here are three things the internet told me about them: They’re a psych pop band from the UK, their debut album An Awesome Wave won 2012’s Mercury Prize, and they took their name from the shortcut for a delta sign on an Mac keyboard. The adorable geekiness of the last bit totally won me over. Breezeblocks, below, and Matilda are two faves right now.
