My weekend: Margaritas, yoga and eggs Benedict
Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine kicked off with birthday drinks for Vicki in Xico, above top, the new Mexican-themed bar that's where the Baggot Inn used to be. I stuck to classic salt-rimmed margaritas on the rocks, Ben tried a Tequila Old Fashioned and the birthday girl went with a Piñata Colada. I'd love to see 'em serve some Micheladas though. I don't even like beer, but I love them.
Saturday was mainly yoga, housework-y stuff and photo editing, before a rewarding Sunday brunch (with a side of Sangria) in Market Bar, with Ben, mum, Kel and the kids. Oh and Ben and I also snuck in a few late-night episodes of House of Cards. Are you watching it? We're playing catch up before season three starts next month. It's so gripping and smartly paced, and constantly throwing up surprises – it's rare that an episode ends without Ben and I turning to each other with WTF?! faces.
I'm glad I brought my camera along to Sunday brunch too, as it gave my three-year-old nephew Noah a chance to get to know it – he pressed the shutter on the two pics below, of his sister Isabel and his mum! Pretty good, huh?
And here's the little cutie himself, snapped by Ben:
I can't quite believe it's the last week of January. It will be a busy one, too: I'll be starting my new course tomorrow – an introduction to ceramics – heading out to an Image Interiors & Living house shoot, and whipping a fun new blog series into shape. Have a good one!
