Fancy another trip to New York? On day two, Kathy Rose and I headed to the Brooklyn Flea, wandered around the hipster haven that is Williamsburg and popped into Mast Brothers Chocolate Makers. Some pics after the jump!

Mast Brothers was created by two bearded brothers who really champion a bean-to-bar approach. Their shop in Williamsburg is is a thing of beauty. Airy and spacious, with beautifully packaged bars artfully displayed. And, of course, free samples.

Now, I’m going to be completely honest and admit that while their chocolate was delicious, it didn’t even come close to what the Irish gals behind Bean and Goose are creating. But the Brooklyn Blend makes for a lovely souvenir. They were also serving up a pretty cool iced chocolate drink, which Kathy Rose and I shared. 

On the way home, we came across a girl carrying the most gorgeous bunch of flowers, some entrepreneurial street signs (“I make cool toys, I’m trying to start a business”) and an incredible busker on the subway.
