I love this part of Spain. The people, the food, the landscape… the food! So I was over the moon when the lovely Lucy commissioned me to head over to the Basque Country for four days of exploring, eating, and shooting.

We started in Bilbao, where we ate at an incredible Michelin-starred restaurant, made our way to San Sebastian (stopping for some txakoli sampling and anchovy tasting), then on to the beautiful in-land salt valley in Álava, followed by a pintxo workshop in the Basque capital, Vitoria-Gasteiz, a visit to a winery straight out of a James Bond movie, the most photogenic lunch I’ve ever had (in this beautiful spot), and a night in the stunning walled medieval village of Laguardia.
