Last Saturday, one of my oldest friends and I met up to celebrate her birthday with some afternoon tea at The Westbury Hotel. Perfect little sambos, warm scones, delicious macaroons (the salted caramel one was my fave, by a long shot) and lots and lots of lovely cups of peppermint tea. I loved the view across Grafton St, which was absolutely hopping, and the near constant pop of champagne or giggle in the background – afternoon tea is very much having a moment right now (two other places I contacted where totally booked out!).
