Dubrovnik | Day One

As girly getaways go, it doesn’t get much more gorgeous than Dubrovnik. Six excited, tired, hard-working gals headed to Dublin airport in the wee hours of the morning and, just a plane, some queues and a taxi later, were tucking into mimosas and soaking in the bright blue horizon of the Adriatic Sea.

I don’t want to speak for the rest of the girls, but I so needed those four days. The views were so breath-taking that  you couldn’t help but slow down and be mindful. And, while I’m usually rushing off to snap everything in sight, the heat and the lovely company made it easy (well, easier…) to embrace chilled days and mid-afternoon naps by the pool.
Here are some of the gorgeous blue tones of our first day– they seemed to change every time I held the camera up to my eye.
