So, while working away planning the May-June issue of Image Interiors & Living, the team and I managed to sneak in an entire extra magazine: the Garden Heaven 2015 annual. As editor, I was fortunate enough to get to work with (and learn from!) some of Ireland’s best garden writers, who contributed some really beautiful, insightful, evocative pieces that left me longing to get my hands dirty and dig deep into soil (as well as buy far too many packets of seeds on Seedaholic).
We also got to collaborate with someone I have huge admiration for, photographer Cliona O’Flaherty, on a very cool floral photoshoot that didn’t even involve a camera… I kid you not. You’ll have to get the magazine to see what I mean (head to image.ie for a preview) but in the meantime I just wanted to share our pretty peony cover and a couple of pics from shoots I worked on.
Above: Ruth from beautiful floral shop Appassionata shared a DIY tutorial on how make terrariums.
Above: Herb salt and floral ice cubes? If this food shoot doesn’t get you in the mood for spring, I don’t know what will.
You can get Garden Heaven in all good newsagents, supermarkets and selected garden centres now. I’m proud to say that I think we’ve created something that both dedicated green-fingered gardeners and newbies will enjoy. I’d love to hear what you think!
