April snapshots
What I read, listened to and enjoyed this month.
Reading and listening to
📖 I'm late to the party, but, I've started reading The Mars House by Natasha Pulley and am completely hooked.
Also recently devoured Hemlock & Silver by T. Kingfisher, a fun, fresh and delightfully dark reimagining of Snow White.
🎧 I've had Raye's new album, This Music May Contain Hope on loop and it's such a beautiful, immersive, joyous listen. Favourites so far include Click Clack Symphony, The WhatsApp Shakespeare, I Hate the Way I Look Today and Lifeboat.
📺 Finally finished season two of The Pitt and though I'm sad it's over, I'm glad to be free of the intensely gripping chokehold it had on what little evening time I have. So good though.
Golden hour sauna sessions

A few mama buddies and I recently headed to Driftwood Saunas for a session and it was good for the soul (though not for my mascara!).
Day dates with Ben

Sometimes, for so many reasons, an evening out is hard to make happen. Last weekend, Ben and I had booked a babysitting session for 3-6pm on a Sunday afternoon – we read the papers, chatted, then headed to O'Grady's for oysters. It was bliss.
Baking with Ada

I hope lovely Lou will take it as high praise just how splattered, splashed and well-worn our copy of her cookbook is. Ada has gotten really into making and baking, helping me make lots of their school snacks including these very simple mini scones, above left, gorgeous nut-free bliss balls and yum cookies, above right.
