August Break Day 7
I loved today's August Break prompt. It was "
an invitation to share exactly where you are right now, in your head and your heart, as well as in your day." So today I got to dip back into shooting in black and white, which was lovely, and couldn't have come at a better time – things are busy and hectic, and there's something about the simple lines and light of black and white images that I find really soothing. Above is my desk, not picture perfect, but as it is – ancient worn mouse mat, USB cables, slightly dusty hard drive and all. I've been loving what I've been working on and yet have never felt more ready for a break, proving that too much of a good thing is possible. There's so much going on and I want to soak it all in, but that has left me pretty exhausted. The lure of a day filled with nothing but sunshine, a good book, and good food is growing, so fingers crossed a mini getaway is around the corner.
