Now, I can complain about the weather as loudly as the next Irish person, but one thing we do have plenty of – whether it's sunny or rainy – is gorgeous light. Here are some shots from the mixed bag that has been our summer. They include sunny weekday lunches

Lucked out with some gorgeous weather on a day trip to Howth with a bunch of lovely friends. There was a beach, a market, a pier, fish and chips, ice cream, and lots of lazing around. Bliss.

The warmer weather and lighter evenings mean I'm much more likely to bring my camera with me when heading out. Couple of shots below. First, a rainbow and sunset by the canal, following a yum dinner in Bloom with Ben. Next, some pretty pink blooms bursting from a

Blue skies, sunny haze and flare, great friends, pretty dappled light. Please make there be more days like these this summer. P.S. The title to this post comes from this very brilliant Elbow song.

Baby lambs! Donkeys! Daffodils! A recent trip to Airfield proved almost too much for even my well-honed spring cuteness meter. Who wants to do something new and different with a shot of a baby lamb? Okay, fine, I do, but it's so much fun to take a picture

While watching Eat, Pray, Love with the mammy last Sunday, I was reminded of the lovely Italian phrase 'dolce far niente', which translates as 'the sweetness of nothing'. It's meant to sum up that pleasant idleness, that lovely chillaxed feeling you get while people-watching

One of the St Patrick's Festival highlights definitely has to be the fun fair that rolls into Merrion Sq. Kel, Ethan and I headed along on Sunday for the Big Day Out – basically an excuse to eat Nutella and banana crepes for lunch, watch funny caricaturists, see the
