Textures of Fernwood

I'm just back from a few blissful days in the stunning Stilt House at Fernwood, where I got to hang out with my beautiful buddy Kathy Rose, read (and finish!) and entire book, and tuck into the delights of the Gather supper club.

I remember reading that this glorious pop-up restaurant was dreamed by Anne and Katie from from long chats between them in their weekly sauna sessions, and, having spend time in said sauna, which is at the end of a winding path, with glorious views over the lake (you can see some of it in this video), I can see how such a beautiful setting can be the place where creative seeds can germinate and grow.

Another big highlight of the trip for me was an early morning walk around the native woodland, macro lens in hand. I can't remember the last time I had such a quiet, immersive and play-filled wander. Anne and the team at Fernwood have created something oh-so special.
